Self Health Kiosk

We have installed a Self Health Kiosk in our ground floor waiting area at Stonecot Surgery. This kiosk enables patients, without clinical supervision, to perform their own checks such as blood pressure, weight, height, pulse, alcohol usage etc. Once completed, it uploads instantaneously to your patient records and can then be viewed by the clinical team.

The kiosk allows you to perform these simple checks at your own convenience without making an appointment. This will allow you to have more high value time with the doctors, nurses, physician associates or HCA’s when necessary.

You no longer need to arrange an appointment or attend at inconvenient times for simple checks. These can be done when it suits you. You may wish to do your blood pressure reading before you go in for your appointment or come in any time to use it during our opening hours. Below are just some of the checks you can do on the kiosk:

  • Take your blood pressure
  • Take your height and weight to calculate your BMI
  • Enter information regarding your lifestyle, eg, smoking status, alcohol intake, exercise and diet
  • Complete stress and anxiety questionnaires

It is very simple to use and the on screen instructions take you step by step through the process. However, if you do have any difficulty, you can ask a member of the reception team who would be happy to help you.

Below is a quick video which shows the features of the kiosk:
